Frequently asked questions
- How long does Dubai company formation take?
- A Free Zone company is typically formed within 30 days from complete documentation. Mainland timelines vary with the activity and approvals required. Residency visas add roughly two to three weeks after the licence is issued.
- Do I need to be in Dubai to set up?
- Formation itself can be completed remotely. You will need to travel to the UAE once for the residency visa medical and biometrics if you are applying for residency.
- Is it really 0% corporate tax?
- Qualifying Free Zone Persons can access a 0% corporate tax rate on qualifying income. Income that falls outside the qualifying categories is taxed at 9% above the threshold. Eligibility depends on your activity and substance, which we assess before you commit.
- Can I open a UAE bank account as a non-resident?
- Corporate accounts generally require UAE residency for at least one signatory. We prepare the application and introduce you to banks matched to your nationality and business model.
- What are the ongoing costs?
- The main recurring costs are annual licence renewal, registered address, visa renewals every two years, and accounting or tax filing fees. We quote these up front so there are no surprises at renewal.
